Project Work

As a Social Media Contractor for Point Blue Conservation Science, I developed and executed a social media strategy in accordance with the organization’s goals of education, awareness, and environmental conservation. I owned all Point Blue social media channels and conducted research and collaborated with different departments and outside partners to create an average of 28 pieces of social media content per week. This role required me to be detail-oriented, adaptable, and skilled in communicating complex scientific concepts to a wide audience.

Accomplishments & Stats

  • Instagram: increased follower count by 29%, post reach by 165%, profile reach by 119%, & engagement by 93%. Created reels with a combined reach of 173k
  • Facebook: increased page engagement by 33.7% & post engagement by 212%
  • LinkedIn: increased follower count by 13%, page engagement by 63%, & clicks by 144%
  • Spearheaded a viral social media campaign in collaboration with Point Reyes National Seashore that reached 206k people
  • Introduced a quarterly analytics review system (created reports, analyzed findings, and gave quarterly presentations to discuss successes, opportunities for growth, and recommendations for the following quarter)

As the sole Social Media Manager for Bamboo Reef, I was responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the company’s social strategy across all Bamboo Reef channels. I utilized my copywriting, graphic design, and video editing skills to create and publish an average of 15 posts per week across various platforms.

  • Instagram: increased follower count by 35% over 1.5 years
  • Created a series of Instagram reels over 2.5 months with an overall reach of 55k

Project Work

I joined The Third Place as the Social Media Manager less than three months after the company was created, so I had the opportunity to work directly with the founders to develop a breakout social strategy that furthered the company’s goals and aligned with their emerging brand voice. In this role, I utilized my copywriting, design, and project management skills to develop and maintain a robust content calendar of organic and paid social media posts to increase brand awareness and grow the company’s social media following.
